Announcing Dr. Justin Neira!
We are delighted to have Dr. Justin Neira, MD, join us as an Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery, after his recent graduation from our Neurosurgery residency program in June 2022!
Dr. Neira began his medical career at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he graduated with the Alfred M. Markowitz Endowment for Scholars, for his dedication to patient care, teaching, and scholarship in surgery. For his post-doctoral training, Dr. Neira remained at Columbia to complete his residency in neurological surgery, pursuing a 6-month International Neurosurgery Fellowship at Canterbury District Health Board/Christchurch Hospital in New Zealand during his 6th year of residency.
Dr. Neira returned to CUIMC/NYP on September 1st, joining our Spine team as an Assistant Attending in Neurological Surgery, specializing in spinal cord injury, metastatic spinal oncology, and spinal cord tumor research.
