Columbia Neurosurgery Travels to Greece for the 2025 American Academy of Neurological Surgery Annual Meeting

The 87th Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Academy of Neurological Surgery (AAcNS) took place this past weekend in Athens, Greece, bringing together the world’s top neurosurgeons to exchange knowledge and advance the field through research, innovation, and mentorship.

Dr. E. Sander Connolly, Jr., Chair of Neurological Surgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and President of the American Academy of Neurological Surgery, presided over the meeting, opening the event with welcoming remarks.

The scientific program began with Peer-Reviewed Abstract Session I: Brain Tumor, co-moderated by Dr. Guy McKhann, Professor of Neurological Surgery at Columbia. The session featured presentations on emerging advances in brain tumor surgery, imaging, and clinical outcomes.
