Diagnostic Team

Dr. Sean Lavine was among the first surgeons in the country to complete additional training in endovascular neurosurgical and interventional neuroradiological procedures. He serves as the Director of Neuroendovascular Services at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center.

Dr. Grace Mandigo is an endovascular neurosurgeon with extensive experience in endovascular neurosurgical and interventional neuroradiological procedures across the lifespan. Trained at Columbia University Medical Center, Dr. Mandigo serves as the Director of Neuroendovascular Services at New York-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital.

Surgical Team

Dr. Neil Feldstein leads the Pediatric Moyamoya Program. He is a leading pediatric neurosurgeon with extensive expertise in vascular disorders with the brain. He sees a high volume of pediatric Moyamoya patients and emphasizes the use of minimally invasive procedures to reduce recovery time for patients. In addition to his clinical work, he also has a research background and has authored numerous publications on Moyamoya syndrome.

Dr. E. Sander Connolly, Jr is the Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at Columbia and leads our Adult Moyamoya Program. He provides highly personalized for Moyamoya syndrome, as well as a wide array of other neurological conditions. Dr. Connolly is an accomplished researcher with and the principal investigator on many NIH grants, placing him at the cutting-edge of science in Moyamoya syndrome.
